(BX TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PUKEKOHE. Saturday. A popularity bull in connection with the raising of funds by the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society, was detrimentally affected by boisterous weather, about 60 couples being present, instead of the 100 hoped for. The grand march was led off by Mrs. R. F. Bollard and the president, Mr. Shipherd, who were followed by tho four popularity candidates, Miss E. Barnaby (Western), Miss L. Perkins (Central), Miss T. Ballard (North-Eastern), and Mrs. W. J. Taylor (Southern). Competitions were arranged and a thoroughly enjoyable evening was spent.
