WHANGAREI TRACK NOTES.
[BIT 'SECEGBAPH.—OWir COBHESPONDENX.J WHANGAREL Saturday. Showery weather has continued to cause trainers some trouble, interfering a good deal with the galloping at Kensington Park. The state of the track has prevented attempts at fast work in a number of canes. C. J. Wyatt was an arrival on Thursday, bringing Bowman from Kawaknwa. Eiowman showed promise last season, and it will be interesting to isee whether he has improved. A. J. McFlinn will be up on him in the Maiden. T. J. Mulyihill thas been engaged for Venour and Shortland in their several races. . Dombroski and Clements will do the riding of W. Donaldson's team. Yesterday Mr. J. Kelly brought Scottish Knight and Quaeator amross from Dargaville, while T. Close arrived with Irapuka on Thursday, the old gelding looking well. Hoanri, son of Antagonist, has been going well over fche fiva furlongs, while Manganewa proved better than Venour over the same distance. •,
