PARK CHUTE A DANGER.
THE PALMERSTON FATALITY
UNSAFE FOR CHILDREN.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON NORTH. Saturday. An inquest was held regarding the death of John Kenneth Bannerman, aged seven years, who received injuries through falling from a chute in the children's playing area at Terrace End Park. A verdict »of death from fracture of the skull, caused by falling off the chute, was returned. The coroner said ho had inspected the chute, and was of opinion that it was not safe for children to use. He thought the authorities should remove it or place a responsible person in control.
