Four important sales of city propertjf have taken placo within the last tevf days. The sale of Messrs. Miller and Pouk grain's block, in Karangahapo Road, for £27,500, is reported by Samuel Vaila and Sons, Limited. The land has 108 ft. frontage by a depth of 99ft., and'cam ries a substantial three-storey brick block of six shops, with a back entrance from Cobden Street. The. same buyers hava acquired, for £21,000, through the sama agents, the late Mr. Porter's near-by property, which adjoins Newton posit'; office, and comprises four double-storey brick shops. - The land measures 70ft. by 100 ft., and the price was, therefore, £300 a foot. The new owners intend thoroughly to modernise both blocks. The corner of Queen Street and" Rutland Street has just been sold by Samuel, Vaile and Sons, Limited, to the National Bank of New Zealand for £17,500. Thsi building on the land, which measures 29ft. 7in. by 90ft., will be ntilised shortly for a branch of the bank. The corner of Rutland and Lorne Streets, 83ft. bf 80ft., with a two-storey concrete building, has been sold by the same firm for £8500, This part of the city 15 likely to sea notable improvements in the. near future*
