AVONDALE IMPROVEMENTS

TWO LOAN SCHEMES CARRIED

DRAINAGE AND FIRE ENGINE.

Proposals to borrow £15,000 for drainage reticulation, and £750 for the purchase of a motor fire engine were carried out at a poll of the Avondale ratepayers held on Saturday. Included in the former proposal was £1500 to assist ratepayers in installing drainage. The voting was as follows:— For. Against. Maj.
