DISORDERLY WHILE DRUNK.
DAMAGE TO A MOTOR-CAR.
A short list of cases was heard before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court on Saturday. Charges of having been disorderly while drunk in Liverpool Street, and of having committed mischief by wilfully damaging a motor-car to the extent of £2 10s, were preferred against Edward Knox, aged 47. Accused had cause a . disturbance in Liverpool Street on Friday evening, said Sonior-Sergeant Rawle, and when arrested by Constable Welson he kicked and struggled in thet motor-car, damaging the upholstery. Accused was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment, for disorderly conduct, and on tho second charge was "convicted and ordered to pay damages and expenses amounting to £5 ss, in default 14 days' imprisonment, tho sentences to be cumulative,
FINED FOR INDECENCY. A charge of having committed » grossly indecent act in Newton Road on Friday was denied by Edwin Allworthy Martin, aged 23. He was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment.
OFFENCES DUE TO DRINK. For fraving been drunk in Albert Street on Friday, and for having committed grossly indecent acts, Joseph En-. tonson, aged 28, aud Hilmer Bakke, aged 24, were each fined sa, in default 24 hours' imprisonment, on tho first charge, and £2, in default seven days' imprisonment, on the second. Ernest Edward Cuthbertson Maxey, aged 45, pleaded guilty to having been drunk at Pukekohe and having procured liquor during the currency of a prohibition order. Senior-Sergeant Rawlo said that accused was a hopeless case—he had been on Roto Roa Island three times, and had boon before the Court) 28 times. Accused was fined £1, in default three days' imprisonment, on each charge.
