THE RECENT RAINS.
IMPROVEMENT IN PASTURES.
DAIRYING AJT MORRINSVILLE.
fUY TELEGIUM.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.} ■MOREINSVTLLE. Saturday. The rain which fell on Sunday and continued on Monday will do a great 'deal of good to the pastures*. Already they are bearing a brighter appearance, more in keeping with spring, and the grass has shot ahead. Until the rain fell farmers on the hill country in this district were growing a little uneasy. Although the days were bright and warm the growth of grass was being severely checked by frosts, ,-md with the lengthy period without rain the ground was drying up, consequently the cows, which in many instances were in milk earlier this season, were not receiving sufficient sustenance to keep up their condition. Prospects for the seai son are now very bright.
