.[SI TELEGRAPH.—r-KESS ASSOCIATION.?) - CHRISTCHtmCH. Saturday. Tho South Island championship road race was held at Sonthbridge this afternoon, over a 36-nules course. A total of 58 riders started. The results were as follow:—J. EHj s (Brookside, 4Am.), riding time lh. ABm. 15s, 1; H. Burnand (Ohristchurch, l£in.), riding time lh. 41m. 45 l-55., 2; G. w! Prebble (Christchurch, 5m.), riding time lh. 47m. 15 2-55., 3; M. T. Leathern, riding-' time lh. 42m. 205., 4. H. Burnand, tho second man, won thd South Island road championship.
