FARMS FOR SCOTS.
LEGISLATION IN VICTORIA.
The 'Victorian Minister for Lands, Mr. Bailey, stated last "week that he thought the idea of arranging that Scottish farmers should be encouraged to come to Victoria as share farmers—rather than bringing Londoners as farm labourers, was a good.one. The only doubt in his mind was whether there were sufficient farmers in the State willing to let their farms on the shares to now settlers. In his experience, farmers had found no difficulty in finding experienced Australian farmers willing to take up land on the share system. Still, he was willing to look into the practical side of the suggestion. &
