IMPUDENT FRAUD.
A PLUMBER'S EFFRONTERY. TRADESPEOPLE VICTIMISED, [BY TELEGJUPff.— PEESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. A plumber, John Lennox, 58 years of age, was committed for sentence to-day upon several charges of false pretences. Evidence was given that the accused went to various tradesmen and represented himself as one McDonald, sometimes a builder of Wellington and sometimes a successful bush contractor., He ordered and received clothes for himself, also watches and chains, while for his "wife" he obtained boots and shoes. The frauds were most impudent ones and the accused's effrontery deceived all.
