MR. DICKSON'S INTENTION.
'0 NOT TO STAND ASIDE. ■ V[by telegraph.—special reporter. ] WELLINGTON. Monday. The report that Mr. J. S. Dickson, M.P. •ior Parnell, is to stand aside at the next election to leave a free field for the candidature of Sir James Gunson, is categorically denied by Mr. Dickson. " I have no such intention," he said to-day. " I will contest Parnell j>-t the next election, and I hope at a good many thereafter." All a matter of fact, Mr. Dickson mentioned the same rumour himself when travelling down from" Auckland some seyen wee'ts ago. He was then as now scornful of the idea that he should resign his seat to anyone, ajid enter the Legislative Council. >.
