When stating the facts in a chargo against the owner of a buggy and pair, which bolted on July 18, of having left the animals unattended, Sub-Inspector Hollis paid a tribute to the daring and initiative of Constable Marsh, who, at great personal risk, had run out. to the runaways, and despite the danger had jumped into the waggon and managed to get the animals under control and stop them. The sub-inspector he had iiighly commended the constable's action, and the commendation had already been endorsed by Inspector Emerson.
The magistrate said, that it was very pleasing to know that the constable's conduct had been favourably commented upon, and he added his own commendation of Constable Marsh's prompt and meritorious action.
