MAILS FROM OVERSEAS.
TWO DUE i TO-MORROW, Two overseas mails are due at Auckland to-morrow. The Westmoreland is due in the morning from Liverpool with 471 bags of ordinary English: mail and! 384 bags of parcels/ In the afternoon the Maheno will arrive from Sydney with 690 bags of mail from Australia and beyond for New Zealand. Replies to 1 these two mails, together with the three from England that arrived early last- week by 'the Makura, Corinthic and Manuka, will be despatched from Auckland on Tuesday, August 6, by the Royal Mail steamer, -Makura, which is to sail for Vauiouver. The most recent outward mail was despatched from Wellington last Tuesday by the Royal Mail steamer Maunganui for San Francisco. A further English and American mail is due at Wellington next Monday by the Royal Mail steamer Tahbi from San Francisco. It will arrive here lato to connect with the outward mail from this port the following day.
