LONDON'S VIBRATIONS.
BUILDINGS IN PERIL. TUBE AND STREET TRAFFIC. LONDON, July S. London is constantly vibrating down to its foundations, 40ft. below the surface, owing to its tubes and increasing street traffic, says Professor Fleming, of the University of London. Even the biggest buildings gently rock throughout the day, which endangers their stability. Tihe vibration lessens at night, when the traffic ceases.
