BOROUGH SEEKING LOAN.
THE MORRINSVILLE ROADS. A VISIT TO WELLINGTON. |*BX TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MORKINSVILLE. Wednesday. The Mayor of Morrinsville, Mr. G. Howie, and Mr. J. B. Thomas, a member of the council, paid a visit to Wellington in an endeavour to raise money for the borough roading scheme, the amount required for which is £21,500. They were met by Mr. C. E. Macmillan, M.P., and later interviewed the Prime Minister. Although no definite statement has been made it is believed that the arrangements made were satisfactory, and it is anticipated that there will be little difficulty in raising the money.
