About 1200 passengers will arrive at Auckland from overseas by four steamers dtie on Monday and Tuesday.
Tho Royal Mail steamer Makura is expected on Monday morning from Vancouver with 100 passengers for New Zealand, and a further number for Australia. The Federal Line steamer Suffolk is due in the afternoon with 350 third-class passengers from Liverpool.
At daybreak on Tuesday the ShawSavill and Albion liner Corinthic will arrive Jrom London and Southampton with 550 passengers in three classes. The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Manuka is due in the afternoon from Sydney with about 200 passengers. The Suffolk and the Corinthic between them have on board 850 immigrants for New Zealand, including 95 skilled farm labourers and 84 domestics. There are also on board 25 English public school boys going to Taranaki under the scheme of settlement formulated by the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce.
The Corinthic is bringing 653 bags of English mail for Now Zealand.
