The Union Company's steamer Manuka, which has replaced the Marama in the intercolonial service, is due at Sydney this morning from Wellington. The vessel is scheduled to leave Sydney on Friday with passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland, wnere she is due nest Tuesday. THE POB.T BOWEN. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Bowen arrived at London from Wellington on Sunday. The vessel has been fixed to load at New York next month for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton. Timaru and Dnnedin. She is ccheduled to sail from New York on August 31. NEW STEAMER NORBHVAL. The Nordhval, a sister-ship to the Nordpo, was launched from Burmeister and Wain's yards in- May last for the Norden Steamship Company, of Copenhagen. She is 360 f- long, with a beam of 55ft. and a depth of 28ft., the deadweight capacity being 8000 tons. She has been eauipped with the high-speed trunk piston machinery lately developed by Burrneister and Wain, totalling 2200 i.h.p. at 150 r.p.m. Each engine has six cylinders, ,500 mm. bore Bad 900 mm. stroke. The engine-room and neck machinery are electrically driven. CABGO FBOM THE MATATUA. A farther quantity of salvaged cargo from the Shaw. Savill and Albion Company's pteamor Matatua, which was damaged by collision in the Channel on March 24, is being brought to Auckland by the company's ateamor Corinthic, due about Sunday from London. The Cozinthio is coming to the agency of A. S. Paterson and Company, Ltd., but L. D. Nathan and Company. Ltd., are the agents for the Matatua's cargo.
