LONDON WOOL SALES.
PRICES FIRM AT CLOSING. A. and N.Z. LONDON. July 12. The wool sales closed to-day, with prices firm. There was a large attendance and good competition. The weakness evident in the first wec-k had entirely disappeared. Prices hardened steadily as the sales progressed, and closed firm at' full May rates. Crossbreds, fine and low grade, made a good recovery, and are now ruling at about tho May level. Mediums partially recovered, and are now at 5 per cent, below the May prices. Slipes are slightly' lower, and are still 2d below May rates. Lambs' wool is scarce and firm. New Zealand W.F.M. brought 34d.
