OLD MANGERE CHURCH.
FUNDS FOR PRESERVATION.

With the object of preserving the old stone church at Mangere Bridge, a number of lady members of St. James' Church, Mangere, have formed a guild to promote entertainments for the purpose of raising funds. The picturesque old church was built by the Maoris during Bishop Selwyn's time, and is now fast falling into decay. V A very successful social and dance was "held by the guild last Wednesday evening, and it is now arranging for the holding of a bazaar j in the near future.. I
