Cadet N.C.O.'s, will parade at the Drill Hall, Rutland/ Street, to-morrow evening at 7.30 o'clock, ■, I The 4th Howitzer Battery will - parade j on Tuesday, July 1. The new postings will make their first appearance and; "the old. hands " are hoping to see some good material. The usual luncheon hour lecturette will bo given to-morrow,' at the messroom, Tyrone Buildings, at 30 p.m.-

■ The progress of the 20th; Pack Battery will be watched with interest when training" commences next month. Lieut. A. A. Currey, who ■ has taken } over command of the battery, is- a keen : and efficient officer, and can be depended upon for a" vigorous programme of training'. It is possible the Auckland military trainees : may have, a gymnasium J fitted up in one of the drill shed 3 ;in the • near : future. ;; Much : of > the apparatus could:; be made 'i by the .artillery \ artificers at ;. small cost, and there is no doubt ; that the gymnasium ' would be made good use of, ' ' . The special; training courses at Narrow Neck, that were so successful last year, will no doubt receive even more attention than ever this year.}? The esprit-ds- ; corps in, and the spirit of- emulation :;■ between companies is growing every day. The first 'camp for':; territorial officers and N.CO.'s will probably take place in Sep-, tember. . "' The 3rd 1 Battery," N.Z. A. (Major C. N. Newman, -a D.5.0.), iwill',: shortly;: resume training. The battery ■ intended holding , a week-end camp prior to the cessation training, but owing to bad-weather the ; camp ' was not held. ;.
