NEW ENGLISH TENOR.
SUCCESS IN "LA TOSCA." A. and N.Z. Juno 6. Alfred Piccaver, whose real name is Peckover, and who was born in Lincolnshire, made his appearance with the Italian Opera Company at Covent Garden. He sang the tenor role in "La Tosca." He has been acclaimed as a tenor who is destined to achieve world-wide renown.
