Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Heed 5.5 p.m.) • LONDON. June C. Mr. J. R. Clynes, Deputy Leader of the House of Commons, announced in the House that in consequence of the great interest in the Dominions, two days (Juno 17 and 18) had been allotted to the debate on the preference resolutions cf the Imperial Conference. Mr. Stanley Baldwin, Leader of the Conservatives, has given notice to move a resolution challenging the Government's policy in this connection.
ATTITUDE IN CANADA.
TARIFF ALTERATION PLAN.
Renter. OTTAWA, Juno 6. A message from Montreal sayd that, tV Canadian Manufacturers' As.social ion has adopted a resolution requeuing the Government to cancel the British preferential tariff, or increase the tariff to equalise the difference between Britain and Canada.
