A message from Cleveland. states that the information that ex-Governor Dowden, of Illinois, would be acceptable to the President, Mr. Calvin Coolidge, as the Republican vice-presidential candidate, has practically settled the opinion of the party's convention managers. The . Prohibition Party -at Columbus. Ohio, has nominated Mr. H. P. Fans, of Clinton, Missouri, a banker for the Presidency. •It has also nominated Miss. Marie Brehm, a temperance worker, of Longbeach, for the vice-presidency.
