MISSING MOTOR-CAR.
FOUND AT PT. CHEVALIER.
BOGGED IN A SWAMP.
A new five-seater Chevrolet motor-car, bearing the identification number of A 11,269, which disappeared from Kitchener Street on Friday evening, was found abandoned in a swamp at Point Chevalier on Saturday night. The owner, Mr! Albert James Fyfe, of Belmont Road, Mount Albert, missed the car between 6.30 and 9.30 p.m. on Friday. It had been driven off the road, through a right-of-way down to the beach, where it was found in swampy ground, with mud up to the axles. A.team of horses had to be used to drag it out, and on to the road. The car has been returned to the owner. No arrest has been made.
