The Richardson steamer Mako was expected to leave Gishorae last night for east coast bays apd Auckland, She is due here about 'Wednesday. The Union Company's chartered steamer Manaia arrived last evening from East Coast ports and berthed at the Queen s Wharf. She is timed to sail for Tokomaru Bay, Giaborne and Napier at 5 p.m. to- • morrow. • RIM IT TO REPLACE NGATIAWA. The departure of the Northern Company's steamer Ngatiawa. from Onehunga, for Hokianga. has been postponed until 3 p.m. to-day. From Hokianga the vessel will come to Auckland, where eho will be laid lip. She ia due at this port on Friday. The Bimu is now being recomimssioned at Auckland, and oho is to sail for Hokianga and Ouehunga to replace tho Ngatiawa m the West Coast trade. COAL FROM WESTPORT. The K aim an aw a is due from Westport at 7 a.m. to-day. She will berth at the Central Wharf to discharge her cargo of The Eaiwarra has been fixed to load a cargo of coal at Westport for Auckland about June 26. . . , . The Rakanua is to load ft cargo of coal at Westport to-day for Auckland, where she is due abjut Friday. ' ROTORUA'S SAILING POSTPONED. The Now Zealand Shipping Company's liner Roterua w«i delayed working cargo by the rain on Saturday. She is now expected to sail on Wednesday for Napier, Lyttelton, and Wellington, to complete loading. Tho local office of the company advises that the final departure of the vessel from Wellington, with passengers and mails, for Southampton and London, has been postponed from Juno 19 to 3 p.m. i on Juno 23.

P.,M.S. MAKURA DUE THIS MORNING. The Royal Mail steamer MnVura is due at " Auckland at 6 a.m. to day from Sydney. After medical inspection in the stream tho vessel will berth at the. Queen's Wharf about 8 a.m. to disembark passengers for Auckland and to load cargo and mails lor Island ports and Canada. A number of passengers will join the vessel at this port, and she will resume her -voyage at 11 a.m. to-morrow. MAHIA FROM LONDON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahia arrived from London at 7.40 a.m. on Saturday and anchored <vfic 3?fotU:ini to discharge between SOO and 400 tons of explosives. Owing to tho wet weather no cargo work was done on tho veasel on Saturday. To-morrow the Mahia is to com© into port to discharge over 6000 tons of general merchandise, ex the Matatua. and to load a Quantity of general cargo for London. From Auckland the vessel will go to Opua to load frozen meat, and thence to Lyttelton to complete discharge, and for further loading. Her final loading ports will be Bluff and Wellington. She is to fail finally from tho last-named port for London on July 10. THE MOEBAKI. INCREASED GERMAN SHIPPING-. Germany's merchant fleet. _ severely reduced by tho Treaty of Versailles, is being rapidly rebuilt and it has already made such great strides toward its complete restoration, that it will not he long before it is in a position to work again as a competitor of the British and other mercantile marines.' In 1914, the German mercantile marine represented 6,100,000 tons (sailing ships and 6te!,mers)._ The seizures during wartime reduced _it to 2,900,000 tons, and in 1919, by application of the Treaty of Versailles, it whs further considerably reduced to 450,000 tons. The Union Company has 'eceived advice that the Royal Mail steamer Niagara sailed from Vancouver on Wednesday for Auckland and Sydney, via Honolulu and Suva. She is due at this port on June 23. TOFUA DUE AT NOON TO-DAY. Tho Union Company's Island steamer Tofua is due at Auckland at noon to-day from Samoa, _s.onga, and Fiji. She will berth at the east side of the Prince's Wharf to land her passengers and her cargo of fruit and other island produce. THE TREMEADOW. The Hain steamer Tremeadow did not complete cargo operations on Saturday owing to the wot weather. Bhe is now to sail at noon to-day for Wellington, L 3 Helton Dunedin and Melbourne in continuation of her voyage from New 7ork, Louisberg and St. John.

ATUA POSTPONED. Owing to the rain 'nterfcring with cargo operations on Saturday the departure of the Atua for Wellington and Lyttelton has been postponed until 5 p.m. to-day. She is loading at the Central Wharf. ULIMAROA FROM SYDNEY. The Huddarl-Parker steamer Ulimaroa cleared Sydney Heads at 1 p.m. on Saturday with passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland, vrhere she is due on Wednesday. REMUERA REPORTED. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera, en route from London and Southampton to Auckland, is • reported to have arrived at Colon on June 5. The vessel is bringing passengers for New Zealand and cargo for discharge at Auckland and Lyttelton. She is due at this port about June 26. WANAKA ARRIVED. The Waraka arrived from southern ports, via Napier and Gisborne, yesterday afternoon and berthed at the King's Wharf. Stormy _ weather delayed the vessel on the coast since she left Timaru. Carjo will be loaded at Aupkland for Lyttelton, Dunedin. Bluff, Oamaru and Timaru, the vessel being timed to sail for those ports at noon on Wednesday. . H.M.S. DUNEDIN. H.M.S. Dunedin will bo nndocked this morning, when she will berth at the Sheerlegs t Wharf to continue refitting for her coming cruiße to the Islands and Australia. To-day the warship will replenish her oil fuel tanks from the oil-tanker Nucula. TAHITI DUE, 6 A.M. TO-DAY. The Royal Mail steamer Tahiti, en route from San Francisco, has reported by wireless that she will arrive at Wellington at 6 a.m. to-day. The vessel is bringing passengers. cargo raid mails for New Zealand and Australia. The passengers and the ietter portion of the mail for Auckland should reach here by train to-morrow morning. RUAPEHU DUE 11 A.M. TO-DAY. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruapehu roports meeting boisterous weather and that she will not reach Auckland from Liverpool, at 11 a.m. to-day. The vsesel is bringing 92 passengers as well as mail 3 for New Zealand and cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. She will berth at the west side of the Queen's Wharf.
