LEAGUE FOOTBALL GROUND.
CHRISTCHURCH PURCHASE. [BX TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Another addition to the sports grounds of the city has been made as the result of the Canterbury Rugby League's purChase of 33 acres of land in Ferry Road. The site, which is nearly all level, is almost opposite Woolston Park, It is within the twopenny tram section. ■ The ground will bo under the management of the board of control of the League centre, and it is intended to prepare it immediately for playing areas. • Provision will be made for League and other sports.
