ST. ALDAN'S CHURCH.
PARISHIONERS' MEETING.
The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, was presided over by the vicar, the Rev. John Wilkinson. The report and balance-sheet disclosed a very satisfactory state of affairs. The general offertories produced £546, special offertories for missions £223, sustentation fund £316, ladies' guild £300, section fund £83, and parish hall account £64. The sum of £300 had been paid off the vicarage debt, and £80 off the new section debt. Special mention was made of the Ladies' Guild, which, by its splendid work, enabled £300 'to be paid off the vicarage debt, and of the choir, under the able leadership of Mr. Morton. The vicar announced that he had appointed Mr. A V. Burcher as vicar's warden. Mr. Wilfrid Skegg was reelected people's warden. The following vestry was elected—Messrs. Barker, Hooper, Townsborough, Nock, Reid, Shannon, Taylor, and Wyatt.- Mr. George Brownleo was re-elected auditor. The vicar announced that ho had received a promise of £20 toward reduction of the section debt, and a lady parishioner had offered £5 if five others gave a like amount.
