SYDNEY, May 14.
Police investigations into the discovery of the dead body of an unknown woman at Long Bay have disclosed the fact that there were no signs of a struggle as first reported. The woman apparently belonged to the better class. She was about 35 years, old. It is believed that she did not die where she was found, but that her body was deposited there. . . '' j " While two constables were guarding the body last night a man was seen in the scrub creeping toward the spot. On the constables' challenge he ran away and escaped, probably in a light motor truck, as the tracks of such a vehicle were traced alone the road this morning. A resident of the locality states that on Saturday night he heard two , terrible screams, as though from a woman in agony. A medical examination of the body has revealed wounds which could not have been self-inflicted.
