MTNE MANAGERS' REPORTS. NEW WAIOTAHI PICKED STONE. New Waiotahi.—The drive on the reef below the level has been advanced 4ft. The reef is somewhat smaller in the face. From the quarts broken out about lib. of picked stone was selected. A break has been met with which slightly displaced the reef. It was at this point the picked stone was obtained. The drive . hillward was'advanced 4ft.. but no gold was seen in the quartz taken down. . Ohinemuri. —The drive is now out 709 ft. from the main crosscut and the hangingwall of the reef is exposed. A little country rook is now being carried on the hangingwall side of the drive in order to secure better progress and the quartz coming to hand from th«» hangingwall of the reef has been showing small values. ■ Glenisla.—The tramline has been laid along the line of No. 1 level, south of the crosscut to' within a few feet of the face where the lode appeared to be about Bft. wide. In cutting out a chamber preparatory to sinking a winze the lode was found to ba 10ft. wide without sign of defined, walla. The lode line is composed of solid quartz, making progress slow. Some of the ore is streaked with sulphide of silver and samples have been taken for assay. Zeehan.—The superintendent telegraphed yesterday from Thames, as follows:— blotches of gold are showing in No. 3 branch reef nearing the junction. Zeehan.—Tbfl drive on the No. 3 branch eef has been extended sft.. making the total from the crosscut 60ft. The reef has been broken down, showing strong bands of .silver sulphides along with the, usual associated minerals. The face is getting moist, showing that the junction with the No. 3 reef is not far away.
