Dealings IN BONDS
FRAUD charges follow. a. and N.Z. TORONTO. May 12. Amelius Jarvies and his son, members of a bond firm, the name of which is one of (the best known and oldest in the city, and their manager, Harry Pepall, have been arrested at the instance of the Ontario Government. They are charged with conspiracy to defraud, as the result of recent investigations before the Public Accounts Committee of the Ontario Legislature. The investigation also resulted in the arrest some weeks ago of Peter Smith, a former provincial treasurer, in connection with the sale of • bonds.
