VETERINARY MOVEMENT. ORGANISATION AT TE AROHA [BI TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AROSA, Tuesday. A further meeting in connection with the proposal to form a veterinary club in this district was held yesterday, when Mr. H. E. D. Willcox presided over a large attendance. It was reported that a good response had been made to the request for members. The lists showed that 190 farmers had agreed to being placed on the membership role, while it was expected that many more , would also join. The rules and regulations of the Otorohanga Club were submitted. as a guide, and it was decided that the committee go thoroughly into them and report to next meeting. The officers of the club consist of a president, vice-president, • treasurer, and six committeemen. The following were elected: — President, Mr. W. A. Clark vice-president, Mr. H. E. Willcox; treasurer, Mr. Dorr; committee, Messrs. D. Johnson (Springdale), H. Herbert (Waihou), J. D. Judd (Waitoa), J. McNicol (Shaftesbury), Taylor (IV garua) and J. Ward (Man&waru). iho appointment of a secretary was left to the committee. It was decided to apply for registration under the Incorporated Societies' -Act.
The position of veterinary surgeon to the club is to be offered to Mr. Carbury, of Otorohanga, at a salary of £500 per annum, the appointment to be for a year. A "vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. Willcox for the assistance lie had rendered in bringing about the formation of the club.. The meeting expressed also its appreciation •of the services rendered by the To Aroha Chamber of Commerce.
