Rowe) ere schooled over the pony hurdles, both fencing in a satisfactory manner. -Knighthood (I* Watson) and Jolly Princess (R. Nixon) were sent over the pony hurdles twice. the former gave a dashing display and, Jihe letter also jumped well, but fell at the fourth obstacle. ;-f. v 7*. Never Deepair (W. ! Rowe) jumped the steeplechase fences in the centre of the course twice in-finished style. The. weather was fine and a good deal of schooling work was accomplished at Ellerslie yesterday morning. Gold Kio (A. Rutherford) was tried over | the pony hurdles, but did not impress, baulking several .times. He was afterwards joined by To Tahi (S. Stanway) were companions twice over the steeplechase fences in the centre of the course. Glenotus gave a. finished display and the other pair botii i did well, both -fencing-very fast.
