GALE ON WEST COAST.
HARD SQUALLS AND RAIN. MANUKAU BAR UNWORKABLE. The weather at Auckland yesterday was the finest experienced for some days. Following the boisterous conditions on Sunday night the wind died away to almost a calm early ; yesterday morning. The wind later freshened from the westward, but the rain held off until night, when a light shower fell.
