Such was / the reason ' advanced by an employer in a ; conciliation council case to-day as an objection against the inclusion of Anzac Day 'as a holiday. /"A lot of-; people," said Mr. W. Goss, "use Anzac Day only as a picnic day, and have departed from its spirit. The day ought to be observed by the general public in the spirit in which it was established.: An endeavour is being made ; to have Anzac Day observed on the near- ; est j Sunday, and by excluding the day as a , holiday from awards it will further the project of shifting' it to Sunday."
