The Paris * correspondent: of : the Daily Chronicle states that 25 doctors and chemists were convicted at Marseilles for defrauding the State to the total extent of £285,000. They made false charges for medical attendance, and the supply , of medicines' to discharerfld disabled soldicis. The fines varied from £40 to £50, and in/ addition the Court ordered from four to.five years' suspension from practice. • " '.!■ ;: Accused were also ordered to refund 60. • per cent, of the charges.
