The signatures asked for action to be taken in connection with the lake - level, which ;; they -stated was gradually rising, and would. eventually cover ; the portion of the main ' to Ruakaka, Road,, known as '-the deviation." The chairman, Mr. , J. ,W. ■ Durham, said that the sand was gradually .'going inland, and had dammed the water up in easterly weather.
