THE DISTRICT COMMITTEE. • ANNUAL CONFERENCE. ; The annual district conference of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' District Committee was held during the week-end. The district president, Mr. E. W. Inder, was in the chair, and the following associations in ' the district were represented: — Auckland, Waiuku, Northern Wairoa, Mangonui, Waihi, Bay of Islands, Te Awamutu, Hamilton, Opotiki, and Tauranga. .v ;■' ; - : •;. " ; " ■ .'w The action of the Auckland Association and district : sub-cjmmittee in connection with Poppy Day was unanimously endorsed. • . ,\, ..: The chief business of 'the conference was the consideration of remits to 'the annual Dominion ; Conference of the N.Z.R.S.A., to be held in June at Christchurch. Remits dealing with pensions, land, . mental cases and organisation received long consideration. , ; Two delegates were elected to the annual Dominion Conference. • _ - ": - The ; following: officers were elected: -— District president, Mr. E.
