I ■ The final of . the Easter Fours competition in connection with the Auckland Bowling ti Centre's- Easter tournament :was - won by the Auckland team, who defeated - St. Heliers by 25 to 14. ;':■ The teams were Scantlebury, Mackay, Ciaig, Osmond (Auckland), and. Potter, a Cahill. Wright, Knight, (St. ; Heliers). The match was, played at the Onehunga under ideal weather conditions. / It / had/ been commenced -at the Auckland ; green von - the Saturday /following the ; tournament, but owing,to heavy rain had to be postponed after nine heads had been; played. The game ; was then :to have been *-*, completed last ; Saturday, : / but again wet / weather caused /a - postponement. The score on the ninth head was 12- : -8 in Auckland's favour. ;. The match was resumed at this stage and- when the 20th head had been played Auckland was 25 and: St.-Heliers 14. / The remaining head was not played and Auckland thus won the match Iby 11 /points. • The concluding stages of the game/? were marked by fine play on both sides, and though Auckland held' the - advantage .several of the heads were very close. * .
