FINE FOR FAST MOTORING.
BRIDE FLIES TO COURT. . LONDON, April 2) Tho Earl and Countess of Kinuoull, who were recently married, flew from London to Perth, to enable the countscs to answer a charge of exceeding the speed limit in a motor-car. She was fined 50 shillings. The countess explained that she was caught speeding on her first visit to her husband's ancestral castle. "It was good fun, making a flight at 100 milss an hour," she said. ''We were pjJoted by Captain Barnard, who was teaching me to fly, and who gave us a great thrill when he took the aeroplane under the Forth Bridge."
The Earl's name was coupled last year with that of Mrs. Surle, a widow. The latter gave notice at a London registry office of a marriage between herself and "George Hay"-the Earl's family name. When the registrar asked for the bridegroom's birth certificate it was not forthcoming. ! The earl, whose age is 22, was sent to South Africa, ; and Mrs. Surle followed. On his return, a few weeks before he met his present wife (Miss Hamilton-Fellows) the earl said he had not seen Mrs. Surle, and did not care where she was.
