CAMPAIGN AGAINST WAR.
METHODISTS' SUGGESTION.
A. and N.Z. NEW YORK, May 6. The Rev. Milliam McMurtrie, of Australia, speaking at the sitting of the Methodist Conference at Springfield, Massachusetts, urged the Church to unite in a campaign against war. Several others favour the propagation of anti-war sentiment pmong students and youth generally, '' _ :' ' The uniting of' Americans - with the British Empire and other Methodists in the cause of world peace was urged by the Rev. W. McCutcheon, of Melbourne. He suggested that the conference should send a wireless message to Britain and Australia urging a united brotherhood. He said: ''You will hear Australia reply, "You lead and we will follow. Let us forget ancieat grudges."
