The tone of the Auckland fiharemarket was unaltered yesterday, there being general inquiry for investment stocks. In Government securities New Zealand Inscribed Stock, 1939, had Bala at £96 15s, with farther inquiry at £96 10s, sellers £97. There was also sustained demand for other issues of inscribed stock at recent soiling quotations, holders in the majority of " cases not quoting. , In local body debentures Borough of Devonporfc sold at 102 10s, more being available -at ( that figure, buyers £102. Auckland Electric Power Boards 5£ . per cent, issue,- available at £99 10a, had inquiry at £97 108, In banks .New Zealanas, quoted at 52s 6d, had demand at • 525. Australasias had buyers at £13 4s, sellers £13 10s. Union ,of : Australia-? were sought at £14 lis 6d. In insurances New Zealands changed hands at 219s 9d, more bsing available at 30s, buyers 29s 7d. South British were done at 403 3d. at which price more were obtainable, • buyera 40s. In gas there were transactions in Aucklanda at 26s Vd and 25s 6d, late buyers offering 25s 4d, with sellers at 25s 7d. In shipping Huddart-Parkers sold at 435. In timbers Nationals had sale at 225, further buyers, offering 21s S3, sellers 22s 3d. In miscellaneous stocks Wilsons Cements changed hands at 30s. In mining business was done in Waihi Grand Junctions at 3s, with further demand at 2s 9d,' sellers 3s. Waihis had buyers ;at 30s, sellers 31s, Moanataiaris, buyers Is 6d, sellers 2s.
