A TECHNICAL OFFENCE.
PROBATION FOR ONE YEAR. [As a result of the conviction of Arthur Alfred Bernard Barker, for attempted indecent assault, being upheld by the Court bf Appeal, the young man, for whom Mr. A. Moody appeared, came before Mr. Justice Stringer in the Supreme Court yester- • .day for sentence. Counsel asked for probation. ' His Honor remarked that the offence . was purely. technical, and admitted accused to probation for one year. Barker Was ordered to pay £6 6s costs. ;
