[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPOND] INT.] "WARKWORTH, Tuesday. • A peculiar' thunderstorm passed over the Warkworth district on Saturday. -Vivid lightning and heavy thunder occurred while the sun was shining brightly, though a bank of clouds hung low over toward Kawau. Observers in the town saw lightning strike a chimney of a house occupied by Mrs. Geo. Dennis. A loud report; followed. Those watching expected to see the house in Haines, but the only damage done was the dislodging of a few courses of bricks on one nide of the chimney, and the smashing of a drainpipe on top.
