TANGIBLE APPRECIATION.
—As one who lias good reason for. i feeling grateful to; our gallant Navy, I f i;o should like :to suggest to the various ■ entertaining committees that a quantity r|of good fruit be put en . beard for.'thoofficers' and men' vISC'. The orchards have now finished .. their picking and packing, so that there should.' be avail- : able some choice varieties for this pur- 7'7' pose. I am quite sura that this would be very welcome, and also it would be a first-class advertisement, for —the Dominion. The ships soon be going through the tropics, and we all know how fruit is appreciated during the heat of the voyage. The result will he. that we not wily get a good advertisement for the Dominion, but we also get at? opportunity of showing our respect ;-u-' appreciation in a tangible form. '- - ■ v. C. Godioakd.
