A DANGEROUS ROAD.

Sir,—May I trespass upon your space to emphasise the extremely dangerous condition of the Rosedale Road to Albany which leads from the Main North Road near Brown's Bay. This particular road is of puw» clay, with not an ounce of metal on it. In company with another person, on Saturday, April" 19, I measured some of the ruts and found them to be no less than 19in. deep, ani 15in. wide. It is impossible for cars to pass in certain places as it would mean pulling off the wheels, or smashing the undercarriage. I am informed by a gentleman who has recently travelled over the whole of the North, that he has not seen such large ruts in any road in his travels. Safety Before Economy.
