FOODSTUFFS FOR WAIHI.
WATER ROUTE AND ROAD. [by telegraph.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. J WAIHI, Monday. Apart from a shortage of household coal the railwaymen's strike has not so far appreciably affectcd the tradespeople of the. town, or caused a great deal of inconvenience. Foodstuffs and other supplies are coming forward regulariy by boat from Auckland to Paesoa and thence by road to Waihi. The cream from the dairy farms is going forward 10 the Paeroa factory by motor-lorry without interruption or delay, and those who find it necessary to go abroad or to come into the town on business are being well served by motor-car services to ana from the river steamers at Paeroa.
