ROTORUA SEASON CLOSED. [DY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT ] ROTORUA. Saturday. The Rotorua Croquet Club closed a successful season this afternoon. The president, Mrs. W. L. Richards, in reviewing the season's play, referred to tho success of the local players against the visiting competitors and also nt Hamilton in tho South Auckland tournament, where both singles and doubles fell to Rotorua players. The winners during the year were: Handicap singles: Miss Murray, 1; Mrs. G. McDowell. 2, .A Handicap doubles: Mesdames Worthington and Richards. 1; Mesdames Moorhouse and G. McDowell, 2. B Handicap doubles: Meadames Banks and Wilcox, 1: Meedame* Blencowe and La Trobe Hill!, 3. 'Arcferi'cfein tournament: Mr. Douslin, 1. The president, on behalf of the club, presented Mrs. Banks with an attache case on tho eve of her departure on a trip to England.
