DARING LIFEBOAT TRIP.

ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA.

LONDON, April 15. William Thomas, an engineer, accompanied by his wife, is a waiting favourable weather to attempt to sail from Penzance to Australia in a ship's lifeboat, 24ft. long. The boat is constructed of steel, fitted with sails, has a cabin and a 17 h.p. motor, and it is provisioned for 2000 miles. Mr. Thomas proposes to cross Franca by canal to Marseilles, to call at Corsica, Alexandria, Port Said, 4jien, Bombay, Colombo, Sumatra, and Java.
