MORAL DETERIORATION
BRITISH SCHOOL CHILDREN. MASTER'S PESSIMISTIC VIEW (Received 5.5 t>.m.> Sun. LONDON, April 22. A delegate at a conference of schoolmasters deplored the fact that 10 out of 17 boys in his class admitted having sweepstake tickets in their lockers. He urged that school children should be given a better training to meet the world's temptations. Instead of sending hoys out to work when they reached the age of 14, it would be better to pay them an honorarium to remain at school longer. This would be a wiser investment than paying unemployment doles. The present system was creating a generation with a hangdog look, with resentment in its heart, and with eyes always cast down searching for cigarette butts.
