VIRTUES OF GARLIC.
NON-POISONOUS ANTISEPTIC. For over 3000 years garlic has been known as a remedy for numerous maladies. It was used for medicinal purposes by the ancient Egyptians, and Pliny mentions that it was employed as a medicine for 61 diseases. As the result of the labours of a French Canadian scientist, from the essential oil of garlic a substance has been produced which will mix with water. This product .is, in fact, a really non-poisonous antiseptic. For three years the sale of the substance, known to science as trimithenal ally lie carbolic, and to the medical profession as Yadil, was confined to doctors and hospitals. Now it is available to the whole world.
